Codes of Practice

  1. Fun comes first. Always.
  2. Impact is everything. The player’s actions should make the world feel alive.
  3. Every object, place, system, and character should have a reason to exist.
  4. Tell stories because they deserve to be told, not to lecture.
  5. Respect the player. Don’t argue with them. Don’t waste their time.
  6. Most feedback is useful. Not all feedback is a task.
  7. Texture makes things feel alive: handheld camera, rough edges, movement, imperfection.
  8. Enjoy the process. This will never happen again.
